Your cartridge does not fill up in secret. It starts white and slowly turns brown as it traps hard water chemicals, chlorine, sediments and other impurities. Everything that colours it is something that would have reached your skin and hair. Replace when the cartridge is fully brown, or at 3 to 6 months depending on your water, whichever comes first.

It is designed to. The cartridge changes colour as it traps contaminants in your water. Contaminants like hard water chemicals, chlorine, sediments and other impurities. It turns from white to brown, so you can see what your cartridge has caught instead of guessing. The colour is the cartridge's built-in replacement indicator.

No. The brown is everything the cartridge caught before it could reach your skin and hair. It stays inside the cartridge and goes out with it when you replace it.

Replace when the cartridge is fully brown, or at 3 to 6 months depending on your water, whichever comes first. The colour-changing feature is an indicator of how much your cartridge has caught, and how bad your water quality is. Homes on harder water reach the three-month end, softer supplies last nearer six.

No. Tap and shower filters are not designed to reduce TDS and Care Dale does not claim to. The ppm rating is a sizing guide for the inlet water only. Your TDS reading stays the same, but hardness stops sticking to your hair and skin, so the damage stops.
